Consider the Flowers

Consider. Today, July 7, is my sister's birthday. Happy Birthday, Dear! On Sunday night, she came to visit. Thank you, Dear! When she came, she brought a bouquet of flowers. This reminded me of when my stepdaughter came to visit at the rehab center. She brought a bouquet of flowers. Both times, my response was, "Flowers?! What good are flowers?! If somebody beings a snack, I can eat the snack. I can't eat flowers! What good are flowers?! If somebody brings a puzzle book, I can work the puzzle book. I can't work flowers! What good are flowers?!" What good are flowers? All flowers do, are share beauty. Every time I looked at the flowers my stepdaughter brought, I smiled. All flowers do, are share beauty. Every time I look at the flowers my sister brought, my heart gets a little brighter. All flowers do, are share beauty

One thing Jesus said that me and most everybody else ignores is, " Consider the flowers, growing in the field. They don't work and work. They don't try hard, to get everything done. Yet even King Solomon with all his fancy schmancy clothes, wasn't as beautiful as one of those flowers." Consider. That's my word for today. To look, really look, as that bouquet of flowers. What good are flowers? All flowers do, are share beauty.

What can I do today, to share a little beauty?
