418 South

A week ago yesterday, I had belly surgery. The surgeon said he had straightened me out. I wish! At least, he had straightened out some kinks in my intestine. Now I'm less kinky! Plus, he gave my stomach a facelift! He said my stomach (the one inside) was sagging a bit. He had stitched it up. I'm ready for my bikini! As I'm sorta kinda waking up from surgery, they're wheeling me into my room. I recognize this one. It's the same room they wheeled me into for Hospital Stay #2. Room 418 South. The first time they wheeled me into 418 South, back in February, I had been impressed. Usually, your room window is plain glass. In Room 418 South, the window has these big decals of pretty flowers. Nice! Back in February, I eventually figured out why there were decals on the window. The window ain't. It had been a window once. But the window had been blocked off by new construction. The window ain't. No sunrise coming in. No nighttime coming on. No watching the clouds, or the rain, or the world going by. The window ain't. I know windows ain't life or death. But I sure did miss being able to look out the window! I'll go with, having an ain't window helped motivate me to get out and get walking. Grab my IV stand and walk the hallway. At least I can cheat, and look out the windows other people got in their rooms. Ya ever thank God for windows? I am thankful for much today. Your prayers and support mean a lot to Sweetie and me. And I am thankful for the sunshine coming in the window!
